Is this a good name for a boy (medieval)?
There's this character I'm using in my fictionous novel. It's from medieval times. He's about eighteen years old, shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. He comes from the country, from this town called Doorbank. His name is Eroem. Sort of sounding like "air-oh-em."
Is that a good name for a character, most of all the to-be MAIN character? I know it's nothing fancy, but at the same time, I don't want the name the source of "in your face; I was born important". After all, you wouldn't expect much from a country-boy. Is Eroem a good, simple, down-to-earth name? That's what I thought. But I'm getting some thumbs-down from my family.
Do any of you agree with the name Eroem? Or if not, do you have any other recommendations? Or even just a simple, "No, I don't like it" will do. (*smile*)
I think that's fine! But maybe you could check the meaning and research the name (I know it sounds boring but it will pay off later). You also have to remember that you will use this name a lot so you have to like it. As long as you like it, then you're fine!! Hope I helped!! Good luck!!
