Legality of creating/distributing a sewing pattern based on department store clothes?
Hi, I'm interested in producing clothing patterns for distribution online. I would like to create patterns that could be used to recreate popular cuts/styles that one may find in major retail chains (macy's, guess, express, etc). Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether or not this is legal?
Legal in the US, at least until the fashion copyright that's been proposed passes; uncool and can get you in some legal hot water.
