muslim views on dogs,confused...?
So anyway im not muslim,but i've always been led to believe that those of the Islamic faith weren't aloud to keep dogs as pets,something about them being unclean..anyway i was just reading up about Iran,their lifestyles etc,and i couldn't believe the amount of pictures i saw of people with pet dogs,they weren't random strays,on leashes they were...i even saw one dog with a little designer jacket on on the streets of Tehran!
So am i missing something...is it a rule that's not strictly followed?
there is a hadith that says a angel wont enter a room that has a dog in it.
Some people dont believe hadiths are 100% true.
But the Quran is 100% true and it doesn't say that in it.
So I guess you can say it isn't strictly followed because people might have pet dogs but not keep them in the house.
