What is a dress lining?
What is a dress lining...duh...it lines a dress. But do you ahve any recommendations on fabric? Also, the pattern says to "fold in the seam allowance on dress pattern pieces and cut lining." Is that saying that I'm supposed to not have seam allowances for my lining pieces? Please help, yo!
Most linings are of a fabric called acetate., and yes you will have seams on the lining too. Folding in the seam allowance on the dress pattern means that you are cutting the lining pices smaller than the actual Dress Fabric, so that it doesn't create additional bulk.
