I make homespun rag balls using styrofoam balls ...does anyone know a way i can make them scented w/out wax?
Either of these 2 suggestions may work well for you:

* Place your finished rag balls in a container that has a tight sealing lid or a zipper type storage bag.
* Place a few drops of your favorite scented oil on a tissue or a small piece of sponge then place it in the container.
* Make sure the container or bag is tightly closed.
* Leave the rag balls sealed for a MINIMUM of a few days - the longer they soak up the fragrance, the better and longer they will smell
(refresh the scent as often as needed by following the steps above)

* Buy a meat marinade injector at your local grocery or cooking specialty shop (looks like a huge vaccination needle)
* Draw up a small amount of your favorite scented oil
* Inject scented oil directly into the center of the styrofoam ball
* Wrap ball with fabric and pin in place as necessary
(styrofoam is porous so the fragrant oil will slowly leach out in time - when the aroma is gone, unwrap the balls and inject them again)
