Good plan on making a jacket? Sewing?
I have an old jacket that I really like. Its getting very worn, and now that I have learned how to sew, I was planning on making one. Because the jacket is old, I was planning on taking it apart and using it as a pattern to make a new one. The jacket is very unique, and fits my small frame. Is this a good plan on making a new jacket? Any tips? Thanks

Older, much worn garments have a tendency to be distorted -- the fabric wouldn't lay down flat any more if you took it to pieces. So don't forget to make a trial garment of your newly made jacket pattern and adjust it before you cut your good fabric.
