Are motorbike boots needed for riding a motorbike?
i have every other item of protective clothing, (helmet, jacket, trousers and gloves) but havent got any motorbike boots.
would you say they are an needed item?
I went down last year after hitting a dog. Sore shoulder and skinned up knee was the extent of the injuries. After all the x-rays at the hospital I was allowed off the back board. I looked down and saw the tops of my Sidi riding boots all abraded. Boots have a steel toe under the leather. I never felt a thing in my toes.

All my riding gear gave me the protection they were designed for. On the other hand, jeans offer me no protection to my knee when I went down.
