San Fernando Cathedral - wedding dress requirement?
I'm getting married at that cathedral (San Antonio) next year. In the contract, it states that brides should not wear gowns that "expose the shoulders". Although I understand the reasons behind this request, I feel it is difficult to find a pretty and modern dress that fits those standards. Has anyone gotten married there, and if so, how strict are they with that? Also, can cap sleeves be made for a dress that is strapless?
Strapless dresses aren't that pretty, and they are common. Look at pictures of Grace Kelly on her wedding day and compare it to pictures of Kendra Wilkinson or some other modern celebrity bride. Grace Kelly always wins. Also, modern isn't always better. Think architecture, for example. Look at all the beautiful houses from the 1920s and compare them to the fugly houses they are building nowadays.
