Help in finding evening gown?
Both my fiance and I have been married before. We are having a small wedding and I would prefer to wear an evening-type gown, not a "wedding gown" and certainly not in white (I hate myself in white!)
What I am looking for is fairly specific. I have searched all over the net and can't find what I am looking for, although I saw something similar years ago. I think it was from Alfred Angelo, but I'm not sure. I have looked at evening gowns, special occasion gowns, mother of the bride and bridesmaids gowns, all to no avail.
I am looking for a burgundy OR midnight blue (not royal, not navy) long gown, in velvet. I would like wide straps, a sweetheart neckline and a short bolero type jacket. I would like the skirt to be straight, not a-line or poofed. Something streamlined and elegant. I don't want a "renaissance" type gown either.
I know I could get one custom-made if I have to.
