how do i remove rust from small metal accessories attached to my swimsuit?
i recently bought this swimsuit with small ornaments sewn on a round leather base. i went swimming a few times and when the suit dried there was rust on several of the small metal discs. this is a tad complicated because there are beads sewn on top of the tiny metal discs (they are around 1 cm in diameter). this is my absolute favorite suit so please help! thank you!
I'm not sure if this is possible to do on your suit, because I can't see it. So, here's my best shot. First sand away as much rust as possible, then clean it and allow to dry. place a piece of plastic behind the metal pieces and covering the swimsuit completely. Spray with a clear spray lacquer. It won't get rid of the rust, but it will help keep it from spreading and from ruining your swimsuit.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
