Redesigning a New Teen Room.?
So I have $600 to buy a whole new furniture set (dresser, bed, nightstand, and wall shelf) I want them all to be black. I also want to buy wallpaper in a damask pattern. Plus new bedding. So do I have enough money for accessories such as lamps, wall decor, pillows...? And it would be great if you recommended stores too. Thanks!!!!

$600 Is not a lot to do an entire bedroom, but here are some ways to get a great look on a small budget. Make an upholstered headboard. The easiest way is to get a rectangular piece of wood to size of the headboard. Wrap that is quilt stuffing, it comes in rolls that you can find at JoAnn fabrics. Staple the padding to the back. Pick a fun fabric, also from JoAnn's and staple that over the padding. You will need someone to help you pull the fabric taught so you don't staple in wrinkles. Next mount the headboard to the wall about an inch above your mattress. Buy a metal bed frame (do not pay more than $40- for a twin for the mattress. The dresser and nightstand are where you will want to spend the majority of your money. Make sure you buy solid wood furniture with english dovetailed drawers. There are many places you could go, but some manufacterers I recommend are Legacy Kids Furniture and Brown Street. For wall shelves go to Target or Walmart and as for accessories I LOVE Homegoods, a division of T.J. Max. They have really affordable accessiories.
