Police Pepper-Spray, Beat Occupy the Midwest Protesters Bloody (crooksandliars)
[Caution: Strong language NSFW.]
At an Occupy the Midwest gathering in St. Louis on Thursday, at least 14
occupiers were arrested by local police after being pepper-sprayed, and beaten
bloody.
The above video was filmed Friday morning, as Michelle Witthaus with Occupy
St. Louis gives her account on the Occupy protester arrests in Compton Hill
Reservoir Park on Thursday evening.
The _Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune _reports:
> Several hundred people from around the country are in St. Louis for this
week's Occupy the Midwest conference. About 150 protesters sought to set up an
encampment Thursday at Compton Hill Reservoir Park, but were told by police
they would be in violation of the park's 10 p.m. curfew.
>
> At around 10:30 p.m., officers moved in, prompting a skirmish that left some
protesters bloodied. Officers used pepper spray during the exchange. Two of
the 14 arrested are expected to face resisting arrest charges in addition to
curfew violation charges.
Note that in the video, Ms. Witthaus states that the occupy group had already
decided to leave the park on their own, due to the people who had traveled to
St. Louis from other states. The did not want to risk arrest.

Where can I buy a complete copy of a 1970's Simplicity Pattern for Sewphie the Sewing Bird?
The pattern was for some sewing aids, I think one of the other items in it was for a hanging sewing organizer, maybe, to put your scissors, tapes, etc, in, and hang on the wall. I do not remember what other things it might have included, but I really do remember the cute Sewphie Sewing Bird organizer, who held your scissors in her beak, making the handles look like her eyeglasses. The measuring tape was folded up and went into t pocket at her rear end, for a tail, she had bumps on her head to put your thimbles on, and her earrings were plastic sew-on curtain rings, onto which you would put all your safety pins. I assume her back was a pincushion, not sure. I do not mind not having the rest of the pattern pieces, if I could get at least all of the bird and the instructions for making her. If the pieces are all there, I will accept a photocopy, too. Thanks much, if you can help me.

However, the seller will be away until the 9th. If you can get it for that price, you need to grab it, old Simplicity patterns are collectible.
Another site has the same pattern for purchase for $9.00
