Fashion Mistakes Men Need To Avoid by Mary Haskins
Fashion is as important to men as to girls. Dressing fashionably does not come as naturally to men as it does to the fairer sex and most finish up committing some form of style mistake. A number of these mistakes are satisfactory while others are utter disasters. Here we show you how to avoid those tragedies.
One of the most common fashion mistakes that many men make is ganging up socks with sandals. This is a complete no-no. Socks go in only with shoes. Wearing them with sandals can make you look funny. Many men wear sandals for a causal look and are compelled to wear socks because of the chilly weather conditions. To make an informal look without catching cold, you can select loafers or sneakers rather than shoes. It will keep your feet covered and you can have your socks on.
In the present times many men are seen opting for novelty ties, shorts, shirts and plenty more clothing range. Well such clothing range undoubtedly looks cool. It is in Your Own interest to steer clear of these clothing items. When it comes to being fashionably dressed, it is suggested that men should follow the mantra of simplicity. You may find the concept of wearing a tie with a smiley face on it fascinating, but it looks to be nothing apart from a fashion disaster.
Exhibiting design labels is also another fashion faux pas. Many men have a tendency to wear items of clothing with brand names embellished resolutely on them. You do not have to advertise any particular brand ; not by wearing clothes which have the name written in loud letters across the chest, the arm or the back. Attempt to keep it as easy and understated as possible.
If you're a proud owner of any fat shoes then it is time you discard your highly valued possession. Chunky shoes are another giant fashion mistake that you need not make. These shoes were fashionable way back in the 90's but they are absolutely out of trend. While all corpulent shoes look as bad, it's the one with square toes that are the worst. Give away these shoes and instead opt for classic shapes.
All that glitters is not gold. So, it would only be sensible if you try to stay away from glittery and glossy garments. Even if you are going for clubbing, there is no need for you to opt for clothes that shine. Such glittery and shiny shirts and jackets only finish up making you look tacky. Instead, switch to a straightforward black shirt and you are sure to look 1,000,000 dollars.
By avoiding these disastrous but common fashion mistakes, you will soon become a paragon of high style.

Help with Sewing Shorts [Simplicity Pattern 3849]?
I feel as if I've followed the steps accurately, and I've double checked my work several times.
But then I come to step 13 and I feel so lost.
The Piece from Step 11 looks different from the one in 13
Any help is appreciated ^__^
Here's a picture if that helps any:

Looking at your picture, the two pieces of shorts you have there, are the front and the back of the actual shorts. So, if you open them up, and lay them as flat as you can, put the right sides together, and match the notches to each other, what you will see, is two sides left and right, and the curve in the middle that goes from waist to crotch area. You are going to pin the crotch area from left to right, and down one side top to bottom, and the other straight side, half way up to where the zipper should be inserted. The zipper goes on the straight edge, or side. It is hard to tell from the picture, but if the pattern calls for the zipper in front or back, then you will be stitching up the sides after you sew the pocket in. Most often, the curve is the front to back seam.
Hope this helps...let me know if not I will try to send pics to you.
