What is a good website for traditional japanese sewing patterns?
I'm looking for a website that has good traditional japanese sewing patterns. Not just kimonos's but Furisodes, hanten, happi, Jūnihitoe, and Yukata. i am mostly looking for furisode patterns though. I looked on Folkwear
http://www.folkwear.com
but they had no furisodes. If anyonne could help me id be grateful.
A furisode is just a kimono with longer sleeves. If you can find the typical measurements of the kind of furisode sleeve you want (I want to say about 140cm for the longest sleeve type but I could be wrong) you should be able to just modify the pattern to allow you to cut a longer sleeve. For yukata you could probably also just use a standard kimono pattern, but with cotton instead of silk or other kimono fabrics.
