destination wedding bridal shower?
Is it ok to have a bridal shower for a friend who is having a destination wedding? i am standing up for the bride, and the couple is only inviting family and 2 friends. after the wedding they are having a cocktail party to celebrate their marriage and will be inviting all friends.
i would like to throw her a shower still, is it rude to invite all friends though they are not invited to the ceremony? the bride doesnt expect a shower, but i though it would be nice still.
It is rude if you call it a shower, because a shower is for gifts. If these friends aren't invited to the wedding, they shouldn't be asked to give gifts.
Call it a Bridal Luncheon and take everyone out to lunch for mimosas and laughter.
